6th BSC SO Doctoral Symposium

The Doctoral Symposium will take place in Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, within the UPC Campus Nord premises.

Target group: PhD students as well as early stages PostDoc researchers and late stages MSc students in the BSC areas of research and complementing areas.
Cost: The Symposium is free of charge.

Students are welcome to be part of the Doctoral Symposium organisation.
Student volunteers play a key role in ensuring the success of the Doctoral Symposium. They are the people that help everyone from registration to local support. Being a student volunteer is an excellent opportunity to meet, interact and network with leading academic researchers, gain experience in the organisation of events and demostrate their commitment with the Doctoral Symposium at BSC.

- Experience with outreach educational activities (relevant when applying for scolarships).

Responsibilities
- Approximately 2-days of work in total during the week of the conference. The work will be distributed among the volunteers.
- Technical assistance to speakers (if requested) an support documenting and taking pictures of the event.
- Help conference speakers and participants be where they need to be.
- Help at the registration desk.
Qualifications
- Enrollment as a Ph.D., Masters, or undergraduate student at the time of the conference.
- A good level of English
