Abstract
Achieving FAIR data is a shared ambition across many research projects, but putting the FAIR principles into practice often proves challenging. This seminar presents a practical, stepwise approach to making FAIR work in real research settings, moving from initial assessments of current practices to the development of structured, tailored plans for FAIR implementation.
I will highlight how pre-FAIR assessments can serve as a starting point for reflection, helping identify both strengths and gaps. From there, we explore how collaborative planning with researchers, data stewards, and technical teams can lead to actionable and realistic steps for adopting FAIR practices. Drawing on tools, templates, and examples from global initiatives, the seminar offers inspiration and guidance to support meaningful and sustainable progress towards FAIR data.
