The Life Sciences department at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center invites you to discover the work of women bioinformaticians and to visit the MareNostrum 4 and the newly built MareNostrum 5, the most powerful supercomputer in Spain and one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe.
Through informal 15-minute talks, we seek to establish a link with young students, encouraging their involvement in the bioinformatics research field and strengthening their professional motivation in the areas of personalised medicine, genomics, natural language processing, infrastructure development and other areas of computational biology.
ACTIVITIES: Presentation of the BSC, 15-minute talks with women bioinformaticians working at the BSC and a visit to MareNostrum 4 and MareNostrum 5.
AUDIENCE: Bachelor and Master students with an interest in bioinformatics. Limited places (max. 30 people).
