Biography
Baybars Külebi is team leader of speech in the Language Technologies Unit of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación. Here he works in the research and development of speech models in addition to development of prototypes and pre-commercial products.
He has a Dr.rer.Nat in Astronomy from the University of Heidelberg, on stellar evolution. After a post-doc in ICE-CSIC, he started working in the industry as a software developer, concentrating on machine learning based audio processing products. He has entrepreneurial experience and a contributor to the open source projects. His main interests are speech models and corpora of under resourced languages, found data, on device DL model inference and finally product design.
