Biography
Jonathan Ayebakuro Orama is a research engineer at the Language Technologies Unit of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación.
He has a background machine learning and natural language processing. He received his Ph.D. from Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) in 2023, where he focused on developing context-aware tourism recommender systems based on social media mining.
He is currently working on developing multilingual language models for social media mining in natural disaster scenarios under the horizon EU project, CREXDATA (Critical Action Planning over Extreme-Scale Data).
