Quantum Day @ BSC
Localització: The event will take place at the "Sala de juntes del rectorat de la UPC" (marked by a star on the map). The easiest way to get there is to take the subway, green line (L3) and stop at Palau Reial. From there, it is a 5 minute walk. The building is located inside a fenced area, right next to a pool. The Network RICE (Red de Información Cuántica de España) organizes a meeting on the occasion of the creation of the Quantum Computing Group at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). The meeting will consist of informal talks and scientific discussions among those of us who are interested in quantum computing and quantum annealing, as well as closely connected areas --error correction, quantum control, etc

Basic Programming of Multicore and Many-Core Processors for Image and Video Processing.
FormacióLocalització: The course will take place in Barcelona Supercomputing Center, within the UPC Campus Nord premises: Torre Girona building, Sala Severo Ochoa. The course will present the parallelization of several widely-known image and video processing algorithms such as color space conversion, gaussian filtering, and histogramming. Its aim is to be an initial approach to parallel programming to those who may be interested in the potential parallelization of the applications they work with. The course is delivered by the GPU Center of Excellence (GCOE) awarded by NVIDIA to the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) in association with the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC) as a Severo Ochoa workshop.
