Climateurope2, a Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action led by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, in collaboration with the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), Copernicus Climate Change Services (C3S) and DNV, is hosting an exclusive, peer-to-peer event. This closed-door gathering is reserved for representatives of private companies with a proven presence in the European climate services market.
This event brings together regulators, standardisation organisations, researchers focused on the standardisation of climate services, and key private sector players to engage in a dialogue on the best path forward for building a trustworthy and transparent climate services market that is compatible with the emerging regulation. Participants can expect the following key outcomes:
Familiarisation with the EU’s ambitions concerning the standardisation and regulation of
climate services.
- Insights into emerging criteria and requirements for developing trusted climate services.
- Opportunity to provide input and shape ongoing standardisation efforts.
- Peer-to-peer dialogue in an open and safe environment to collaboratively address common challenges.
- A post-event report, along with opportunities for information sharing and networking.
This closed-door event is regulated by Chatham House Rules. To register, interested companies are required to complete a two-step registration process:
- Submitting registration form, which will be reviewed to confirm that the applicant meets the necessary criteria and that capacity permits additional participants. Please note that a maximum of two representatives per company may attend. Submission of the form does not guarantee acceptance. Companies that meet the event’s requirements and are successfully selected for participation will receive a confirmation email with instructions for proceeding to the second step.
- Formalization of participation through the payment of a €300 fee per person, which will secure a place at the event. Should a company not be selected, its interest will be noted for consideration in future events.
