PRACE Training Course: Programming PRACE and MontBlanc prototypes: Tibidabo Machine

Place: The course will take place in
Barcelona Supercomputing Centre,
within the UPC Campus Nord premises,
Vertex building, room 214.
Target group: Standard HPC users, with recommended, but not required some knowledge in Tibidabo architecture.
Level: ITERMEDIATE: for trainees with some theoretical and practical knowledge (All courses are designed for specialists with at least finished 1st cycle degree)
Cost: There is no registration fee. The attendees would need to cover the expenses for travel, accommodation and meals.

Objectives
Get a comprehensive view of the Tibidabo architecture and how to program this machine efficiently.
Learning Outcomes:
Understand how works Tibidabo machine. Work with some example codes, compiling, debugging and executing trough system queues. Get a global view of the machine with their specific configuration (Operating system, batch system, debuggers, compilers, how to access to the machine, how to use the resources, etc)
Requirements
The trainees are expected to come with their own laptop with a SSH client.
NOTE: PATC courses do not have registration fee. You need to fill in an Application Form.
