Primary tabs

Objectives

In this course, we will introduce an approach that allows users to read and write volatile and persistent data using the same interface: the regular Python interface to access variables in memory. We also present two different solutions that implement this interface, and that can be used as the persistent backend for the data: DataClay and Hecuba. Both solutions are integrated with the COMPSs runtimes and the PyCOMPSs programming model through a well-defined interface that, for example, can enhance data locality.

Requirements

Pre-requisites (para Hecuba): Basics on Python programming language, basic knowledge on NoSQL/Key-value databases, Advisable to have notions about PyCOMPSs/COMPSs

Academic Staff

Rosa Badia, Workflows and Distributed Computing Group Manager, Computer Sciences - Workflows and Distributed Computing Department
