PATC Course: Programming ARM based Prototypes

The course will take place in
Barcelona Supercomputing Centre,
within the UPC Campus Nord premises.
Vertex Building. Room VS208
Target group: BSc (or higher) degree in science or engineering with basic knowledge in parallel computing. We foresee some hands-on session, therefore attendees should bring their own laptop.
Cost: There is no registration fee. The attendees would need to cover the expenses for travel, accommodation and meals.

- ARM based machines: Architecture Overview
- Discussion
Session 2 (1h + 1h hands-on):
- Using ARM based machines (How to get access, Job Execution, Support) (1:30h)
- Lunch Break (13:00 to 14:00)
Session 3 (1h + 1h hands-on ):
Developing application (GNU tool chain, examples, etc…), performance evaluation and power monitoring of ARM based systems for scientific computing
