Maria-Ribera Sancho, manager of the Education and Training department of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) and professor at the Department of Service and Information System Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), has been elected as member of the ACM-W Europe’s Executive Committee.
ACM-Women has the mission of advocating internationally for the full integration of women in all aspects of the computer world. ACM Women Europe (ACM-W Europe) is a standing committee of ACM Europe and works to fulfil the ACM-W mission in Europe. Its vision is a transformed European professional and academic landscape where women are supported and inspired to pursue their dreams and ambitions to find fulfillment in the computing field.
ACM-W Europe is led by the Executive Committee that oversees Working Groups of volunteers and set the direction and strategy to drive awareness, increase skills, and promote initiatives among women in computing. Executive Committee members are experienced professionals with extensive experience in leading commercial and public sector organizations, managing teams, growing talent, and promotion and fund-raising activities.
