The HiPEAC conference, which this year takes place in Prague, is the premier European forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for embedded and general-purpose systems. The three-day event attracts about 500 delegates each year.

Associated workshops, tutorials, special sessions, several large poster session and an industrial exhibition will run in parallel with the conference. The 2016 edition features a number of workshops  BSC researchers, including 'MCS: Integration of mixed-criticality subsystems on multi-core and manycore processors', co-organised by Francisco Cazorla,  'MULTRIPROG: Programmability and Architectures for Heterogeneous Multicores', co-organised by Ferad Zyulkyarov and Oscar Palomar, and 'HiRES: High-Performance and Real-Time Embedded Systems', co-organised by Eduardo Quiñones.
