BSC also actively participating in many sessions at the International Supercomputing Conference held in Leipzig from June 22- 26
The ISC Conference is famous for its world-class program, with more than 300 leaders from academia and industry tackling the most important issues in High Performance Computing.
Featured this year, are topics such as the future direction of HPC technologies, life science applications, big data, quantum computing, and the real-world value of HPC.
Mateo Valero, Director of Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), will participate in the panel “Talk HPC Futures with IBM & Lenovo: Hear directly from IBM, Lenovo, Partners & Clients about the Future of HPC & the System x Transition to Lenovo”, which will take place on Tuesday, June 24, from 8 am to 8:45 am (Hall 1)
Sergi Girona, Director of the Operations department at BSC, will chair the session “HPC in Europe”, which will be held on Wednesday, June 25, from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm (Hall 5). Jesús Labarta, Director of the Computer Sciences department at BSC, will talk about “Behaviour & Performance Insight: the Key towards Productivity & Efficiency” , in this session.
Alex Ramirez, Mont-Blanc project coordinator, will talk about One Size Fits All vs. System-on-Chip Integration for HPC in the session Future Supercomputing Directions, which will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 09:00 am - 10:30 am at Hall 1.
The joint BoF (Birds of a Feather) with other exascale projects, entitled "The European Approach to Exascale" will take place on Tuesday the 24th of June at 2:15 pm (Hall 5).
Researcher Vinoth Krishnan Elangovan will talk about Scalability & Parallel Execution of OmpSs-OpenCL Tasks on Heterogeneous CPU-GPU Environment on Wednesday the 25th of June at 8:30 am (Hall 3)
Researcher Vladimir Subotic will talk about Automatic Exploration of Potential Parallelism in Sequential Applications on Thursday 26th of June at 11:30 am (Hall 5)
