The third edition of the ranking of women researchers from Spanish and international institutions highlights 18 women scientists linked to the BSC, double the number of the previous edition

Eighteen women researchers who have worked or are working at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS), nine more than last year, are part of the ranking of outstanding women researchers in Spain, which in its third edition includes a total of 9,765 women scientists. The BSC has thus doubled its presence in a list compiled by the Cibermetrics Lab, a unit of the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC).

The researchers linked to BSC appearing in the list are: Mervi J. Mantsinen (H-index 52 and 7,503 citations); Natasa Przulj (H-index 51 and 14,407 citations); Rosa M. Badia (H-index 49 and 10,517 citations); Rachel Lowe (H-index 43 and 10,700 citations); Sara Basart (H-index 36 and 3. 783 citations); Nadia Tonello (H-index 34 and 9,037 citations); Rosa Fernández (H-index 33 and 3,510 citations); Virginie Guémas (H-index 30 and 4,766 citations); Marta Melé (H-index 28 and 13,152 citations); Raquel Martins Lana (H-index 23 and 2,389 citations); Martina R. Klose (H-index 21 and 1,643 citations); Jazmín Aguado Sierra (H-index 20 and 2,191 citations); Deborah Verfaillie (H-index 19 and 1,225 citations); Montserrat Puiggròs (H-index 18 and 3,631 citations); Ivana Cvijanovic (H-index 18 and 3,623 citations); Marta Terrado (H-index 18 and 2,187 citations); Anna Vlasova (H-index 18 and 2,029 citations); and Anna Queralt (H-index 18 and 1,049 citations).

The ranking positions scientists who have an H-index of 18 or higher in their Google Scholar profile (a measure of the impact of an author's research that considers the quality and quantity of citations of scientific articles) and also takes into account the number of citations they have received. The list includes as BSC researchers those whose Google Scholar profile shows research published when they were affiliated with the centre.
