The acting Minister of Economy and Business, Nadia Calviño, has visited the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) today to know about the research being carried out. The centre's director, Mateo Valero, accompanied the minister during the visit and informed her of the most outstanding projects, including the future installation of the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer.
During the visit, the minister was able to take a tour of the current BSC supercomputer, MareNostrum 4.
The visit was also attended by the Secretary of Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Francesc Xavier Grau; and the rector of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Francesc Torres.
