An external assessment highlights the good level of the centre and confirms the renewal of this excellence logo for three more years.
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) has renewed the Human Resources Excellence in Research Award with which the European Commission recognises the BSC commitment to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
BSC obtained its first HR Excellence in Research award in 2015, extended it in 2017 and now has been renewed.
BSC makes this commitment effective through its Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) aimed to provide the best framework and environment for research excellence, maintaining and improving by adopting international best practices and high-quality standards.
In the framework of the BSC HRS4R, BSC has developed a 2021-23 Action Plan to be implemented in the next 3 years. This plan can be summarized in four main points:
- Consolidate the open, transparent and merit-based (OTM-R) guidelines in all recruitment processes
- Promote the awareness of regulations (internal or at European of national level) and the internal communication
- Continuous improvement of the career development (From Training, performance evaluation to career guidance)
- Strengthen the Gender activities boosting the equal opportunities
