BSC will be at ISC High Performance (Frankfurt, June 18th-22th) with demonstrations of PyCOMPs and Hecuba & Qbeast and with a talk on the new MareNostrum supercomputer by our Director Mateo Valero.
MareNostrum 4, BSC’s new supercomputer, will be the star of the centre’s booth at ISC High Performance 2017. The supercomputer, which will be up and running from 1 July 2017, has a peak performance of 13.7 petaflops. There will also be demonstrations of the following key BSC tools:
- PyCOMPs: BSC’s superscalar, task-based programming model that offers an interface based on Python sequential code, but that enables execution in parallel.
- HECUBA & Qbeast: a set of tools that allows efficient and intuitive interaction with non-relational databases. Hecuba allows using persistent data as regular objects in memory, while Qbeast offers support to multidimensional indexing and data-thinning.
The ISC exhibition, a three-day event that runs from Monday, 19 June to Wednesday, 21 June, will feature around 150 exhibits from leading HPC companies and research organizations.
We look forward to welcoming you to our booth (#1412), where we will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
