The centre has received more than 100 million euros from the Next Generation European funds, according to the Catalan government
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the research centre in Catalonia that has obtained the most money from the Next Generation European funds, with a total of 100,410,467.57 euros, as announced on Thursday by the Department of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
In total, Catalan research centres, including universities, have received 985 million euros through grants and direct concessions. In addition to the BSC, the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) stands out with 77 million, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) with 55 million and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) with more than 40 million. The Vall d'Hebron Research Institute and the Energy Institute of Catalonia received 39 million and 36 million respectively.
The data can be consulted in the new interactive viewer launched by the Generalitat with the aim of taking a further step towards transparency in the management of the Next Generation Funds and to find out their real impact in Catalonia.
