Biography

Prof. Dr. De Curtò is a Recognised Researcher (R2) in the Department of Computer Applications in Science & Engineering, Group of Dual Technologies, of the BARCELONA Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación, he is also a Professor (Profesor Asociado Colaborador - Doctor) at the School of Engineering (ICAI), in the department of Electronics, Control Systems and Communications at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. He earned a doctorate in Computer Science from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2023, a Master's degree in Multimedia Information Technology (with Distinction) from City University of Hong Kong in 2015, where he did his master's thesis at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon in 2014, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2013. He has received various national and international awards, such as the Top Achiever 2015 (for his academic performance in the master's program) by City University of Hong Kong.

Prof. Dr. De Curtò has had many research appointments at top institutions; namely at ETH Zürich in Switzerland (2015-2016), Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, USA (2014-2015 / 2017 / 2020), City University of Hong Kong (2014 / 2016-2017), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2017-2018), CIMDA (2021-2022) HK Science Park (CityUHK - University of Oxford) and GOETHE-University in Germany (2022-2023).

He has more than 20 articles published in indexed journals and internationally recognized conferences, on topics of Vehicular Technologies, IoT, AI and Space Mission Design.

He is also an editor (Topical Advisory Panel - Innovative Urban Mobility) for MDPI Drones.
