AI and supercomputing to enhance agricultural efficiency and sustainability
BSC unveils Talptech, a new spin-off to enhance vineyard, fruit, and olive tree production while cutting pesticide use by up to 40%, promoting farm sustainability and protecting natural resources. A cutting-edge device, integrated into agricultural machinery, will provide real-time analysis of crop growth and health, enabling early detection of diseases and nutrient deficiencies.

BSC will have a strong presence across various key sessions. BSC’s researcher Alba Cervera will deliver an invited talk on Quantum computers, BSC will also host 13 Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions, 2 tutorials, 3 workshops, and participate in 2 panels, showcasing its expertise and fostering collaboration in the supercomputing community.

BSC unveils innovative AIR S+T+ARTS artist-scientist residencies at The Gate Festival
The presentations culminate the AIR S+T+ARTS project, co-funded by the European Commission, in which international artists have worked in collaboration with experts from the scientific and technological fields. BSC has been one of the main pillars of the programme, leading the scientific part of three of three projects: Impossible Larynx: An Artistic Research on Modeling Voices, by Maria Arnal; Breathing Architecture, by Filippo Nassetti, and Electric Atmospheres, by Richard Vijgen.

BSC, 'Technological Support to Scientific Research' award at the Telecommunications Night of Murcia
The College and the Association of Telecommunications Engineers of the Region of Murcia have recognized BSC for “its impact on scientific research, its innovation in supercomputing architecture, its high impact projects, its training and development of talent and its innovative medical technology”. The award was collected by the director of BSC, Mateo Valero, who expressed his gratitude for the recognition.
