PRACE, the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (www.prace-ri.eu), has selected six of its members’ sites: Barcelona Supercomputing Center (Spain), CINECA - Consorzio Interuniversitario (Italy), CSC - IT Center for Science Ltd (Finland), EPCC at the University of Edinburgh (UK), Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (Germany) and Maison de la Simulation (France) as the first PRACE Advanced Training Centres.
The mission of the PRACE Advanced Training Centres (PATCs) is to carry out and coordinate training and education activities that enable the European research community to utilise the computational infrastructure available through PRACE. The long-term vision is that such centres will become the hubs and key drivers of European high-performance computing education.
The PATC at BSC Spring 2012 program is:
21 and 22 May: Performance Analysis and Tools
23 and 24 May: Heterogeneous Programming on GPUs with MPI+OmpSs
25 May: Programming PRACE and MontBlanc prototypes: Tibidabo Machine
5 to 8 June: Introduction to CUDA programming

The students and can benefit from the hands-on sessions and communication with internationally renowned instructors. Participants will be issued a Certificate of Attendance. PATC courses are attended by specialists from across Europe and all lectures and materials are in English. The PATCs do not charge fees for their courses.
The number of seats for all participants is limited. Please if you want to attend fill out the application form before 10 May for the May courses and no later than 20 May for the June course.
Given the limitation of the number of places offered, applications may be subject to evaluation and judged on a case-by-case basis. The accepted candidates will be communicated by 15 May for 21/05 start and by 25/05 for the June course.
