The consortium
The BSC-CNS was established in 2005 and is a public consortium formed by the Spanish government, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya· BarcelonaTech (UPC).

Mission and objectives
The BSC-CNS' mission is to research, develop, manage and transfer technology and knowledge from the field of HPC with the aim of facilitating progress in different scientific areas, with particular focus on Computer Science, Life and Environmental Sciences and Engineering.
The overall objectives of the centre are:

Economic and financial management
By exercising its powers conferred by Article 168 of the General Budget Act and through the Regional Intervention of Catalonia, the State Administration General Comptroller is the agent responsible for auditing the consortium’s annual accounts. Red Española de Supercomputación - Spanish Supercomputing Network
The Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES), created in March 2007 by the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science, is a Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructure (ICTS) distributed throughout the Spanish geography, composed of 14 nodes interconnected by networks of high speed. Its mission is to offer the resources and services of supercomputing and data management necessary for the development of innovative and high-quality scientific and technological projects, through competitive calls based on the scientific excellence of the projects to be developed.
Resolution of September 15, 2021, of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center Consortium, publishing the Agreement for the coordination, sharing, open access of supercomputing resources and data management at the service of R&D&i in Spain HERE.
Channel for reporting fraud or irregularities
In order to allow employees to report fraud or irregularities anonymously, an anonymous report can be made through the service provided by the National Anti-Fraud Coordination Service, called "Infofraude".
