Description
EuroCC Spain RES aims at creating a National Competence Center (NCC) in HPC in Spain, capable of providing a broad portfolio of HPC, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence services tailored to the needs of industry (with a special focus on SMEs), academia and public administrations.
This new Spanish NCC will coordinate activities in all HPC-related fields at the national level and serve as a contact point for customers from industry, science, (future) HPC experts, and the general public alike.
EuroCC Spain RES is coordinated by BSC and its members are BIFI-UNIZAR, CENITS, CESGA, CSUC, IAC, SCAYLE and UNICAN. It will be part of the network of National Competence Centers promoted by EuroHPC Joint Undertaking through the Castiel and EuroCC projects, which currently includes 33 members. Thus, the advantages of the experience and resources available in Europe in HPC, Big data and Artificial Intelligence will be used to coordinate initiatives at national level for the promotion of these technologies.
