Biography
Joan Llop is a research engineer at the Language Technologies Unit of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación. He holds a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and has expertise in developing language models, including biomedical models, as well as models for Spanish, Catalan, and multilingual European languages (covering 35 languages). Joan's primary research interests focus on training large language models and exploring their zero-shot capabilities.
