Irene Baucells is a Research Engineer in the Language Technologies Unit of the BSC. She holds a bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics and Translation (UPF) and a master's degree in Language Analysis and Processing (UPV/EHU). During her time at BSC, she has actively participated in several projects aimed at the development, both implementation and design, of resources for Catalan. Her research has focused on few-shot learning techniques, instructional tuning and, currently, language adaptation methods and evaluation of large language models, with a particular focus on the challenges of low and medium resource languages.
