Mont-Blanc project hosts over 130 industrial and academic experts in Barcelona

16 Enero 2017

This event is an excellent opportunity to discuss about the characteristics of the new processors, SoC and HPC systems based on ARM technologies that will be the base for the supercomputers of the future.

Since its early beginning, the Mont-Blanc project, coordinated by BSC, has paved the way for enabling ARM in HPC. For this reason, today and tomorrow the Mont-Blanc team will host an event titled ARM: On the road to HPC in Barcelona. With over 130 industrial and academic attendees registered, the aim of this event is to promote and encourage the exchange of experiences and knowledge among all the major players that are contributing to make ARM-based computing a reality for High-Performance Computing (HPC). The event is also an excellent occasion for all attendees to network and get the latest updates on these kinds of systems.

"The Mont-Blanc project has always had a sweet spot in the HPC landscape, significantly contributing to research and technology development. This event will be an excellent opportunity to discuss about the characteristics of the new processors, Systems on Chip and HPC systems based on ARM technologies that will be the base for the supercomputers of the future." says Mateo Valero, BSC director.
