Emissions have been estimated through model HERMESv2 (High Elective Resolution Emission System Model version 2). HERMES is an emission inventory model high spatial and temporal resolution for CALIOPE domains, which consists of two modules:

•      HERMES-​​BOUP (emissions inventory Spain)
•      HERMES-​​DIS (EMEP emissions disaggregation module)

The model estimates air emissions from both anthropogenic and biogenic sources for primary pollutants NOx, CO, SOx, NMVOCs, NH3 and TSP (PM10 and PM2, 5), classified according to the official nomenclature SNAP (Selected Nomenclature for sources of Air Pollution).
