BSC offers competitive access to MareNostrum through the periodic calls of the Spanish Supercomputing Network (Red Española de Supercomputación, RES) open for Spanish and European researchers. The proposals received are evaluated according to their scientific and technical excellence, and resources are awarded based on the relative ranking received.
Which resources are available?
BSC offers 80% of the capacity of MareNostrum through RES calls, where technical support and training for users is also offered. The following table summarises the distribution of MareNostrum resources and corresponding access criteria:

Who can apply?
BSC resources are meant for non-for-profit R&D purposes, and are open to researchers from academia and public research centres.
How to apply?
Supercomputing resources are granted by means of RES competitive calls. These are continuously open and proposals are evaluated every four months. To participate in these calls, you need to create an account in the RES Intranet and complete an application form on-line.
